1. In short
You subscribe to a monthly plan from Website Form Checker to monitor a contact form. We periodically submit a real, tagged test message through the form and email you when delivery stops working. There is no setup fee and no long-term contract. You can cancel anytime, and monitoring continues through the end of your current billing cycle. If you only run the free audit at /check or use the free trial, only the sections that match what you actually used apply, plus the universally-applicable ones (acceptable use, indemnification, limitation of liability, governing law).
2. What's included
Every paid plan includes: scheduled real-message submissions through the form you enrolled, captcha solving (reCAPTCHA v2/v3, hCaptcha, Cloudflare Turnstile) at our expense, two-consecutive-failure alert gating to suppress single-blip noise, structural snapshots of the form for drift detection, post-submission screenshots, and customer support by email. Tier-specific features (frequency, AI field-drift detection, monthly PDF report, included form-handler fixes) are listed on the pricing page. The current feature list there is incorporated into these terms by reference.
3. Free form audit
The audit tool at /check is free, rate-limited per IP address, and runs a single inspection: we open your URL in a real browser, score the contact form's structure, detect any spam-protection, and return a report. The audit does not submit anything through the form. We cache the result for 24 hours to avoid re-running expensive checks on repeated visits.
4. Free 30-day trial
Enrolling a URL in the free trial does submit real, tagged test messages through that form on a schedule (typically four submissions over 30 days). When you enroll, you confirm one of two things: you own the form, or you have the form owner's permission to test it. We rely on that representation in good faith.
Every trial test message clearly identifies itself as automated, names you (the enrolling auditor) by email, and includes a one-click opt-out URL. Clicking opt-out permanently bans the entire domain from any future testing by us, including future paid subscriptions, until you contact us in writing. We enforce a hard lifetime cap of four free test submissions per domain regardless of who enrolled it. The trial cannot be reused once exhausted.
We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or end any trial at our sole discretion, particularly where we have reason to believe a URL was enrolled without the form owner's knowledge or consent.
5. Customer responsibilities
To get accurate monitoring you need to: keep the URL you enrolled current and reachable, ensure the alert email address on file is one you actually check, and tell us when you intentionally change the form's structure (we will email you about structural drift anyway, but a heads-up reduces false alerts). Sites behind authentication, multi-step phone/email verification flows, or aggressive enterprise bot-blocking (Akamai, PerimeterX, Datadome) may not be fully testable. We will tell you up front if we cannot reliably check your form, and discuss a workaround with you.
6. Captcha solving
Our service includes automated captcha solving via a third-party provider. Solving is included in the subscription price at standard volumes. We enforce a per-site daily spend ceiling (default $1/day) to protect both customers and us from a misconfigured form triggering excessive solves. Sites that exceed the cap are auto-paused and we email you to investigate. We do not pass captcha-solving costs through to customers.
7. Payments and subscriptions
- Plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. Payment is required to start service and to keep it running.
- Subscriptions auto-renew each month on your billing date until you cancel.
- Monthly fees are non-refundable, including for unused time within a billing cycle.
- Stripe processes all card payments. We never see or store your card details.
- If a payment fails or is reversed, we reserve the right to pause monitoring and to pursue collection by legal means.
8. Cancellation and your data
You can cancel anytime by emailing [email protected]. There is no cancellation fee. Your subscription continues through the end of the billing cycle you've already paid for, then stops, we won't charge the next cycle.
You own your monitoring data. On cancellation, request a one-time export and we will provide your run history and alert log as a JSON download. We may decline repeat or excessive export requests, automated or bulk requests, or any request we reasonably believe is in bad faith. The one-time export is intended to give you what you need to take your data with you, not to provide an ongoing data feed.
9. Service level
We aim for high uptime on both the monitoring service and the marketing site. We do not publish a contractual SLA and do not commit to refunds or credits for service interruptions. If something seems materially wrong with how we have handled your monitoring, contact us and we will work with you to resolve it.
The two-consecutive-failure rule that gates customer alerts is intentional, it prevents a single transient blip (DNS hiccup, captcha-provider hiccup, etc.) from paging you. The first failure triggers a fast retry within ~1 hour rather than waiting for the next scheduled check. This means the worst-case delay from "form actually broke" to "you get an email" is approximately one schedule-interval plus one hour for daily-tier customers, and ~1 hour plus the natural failure-detection time for weekly-tier customers.
10. Acceptable use
You may not use our service to test a form you don't own and don't have permission to test, to harass a form owner, to spam, to circumvent another party's anti-abuse measures, or to support any unlawful activity. We will end service for material breach of this section without refund, and may notify affected form owners.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Website Form Checker and its operators, contractors, and affiliates against any claim, demand, action, or proceeding arising from or related to a URL you enrolled or audited where you did not own the form or did not have the form owner's permission to test it. This includes claims for unauthorized solicitation, spam, harassment, defamation, or invasion of privacy, and any reasonable legal fees and costs we incur in defending such claims. This provision survives cancellation of your subscription.
12. Ownership and intellectual property
Website Form Checker owns the intellectual property rights for all material on this website, including the source of the monitoring service itself. All rights are reserved. You may not republish, sell, rent, sublicense, reproduce, duplicate, copy, redistribute, print, or download our material without prior written approval.
You retain all rights to any URL, content, or business information you provide to us in connection with monitoring. We use it only to deliver the service and as described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Third-party services
To deliver the service we rely on third-party providers, including Hetzner Online GmbH (server hosting, data center in Falkenstein, Germany), Stripe (payments), Postmark (transactional email), CapSolver (captcha solving), Anthropic (vision-based verification of ambiguous form-check outcomes), and Cloudflare (DNS, security, CDN). Each provider has its own terms and privacy policy. Outages or changes by these providers may affect our service, we will work in good faith to restore continuity but bear no liability for a third-party provider's actions.
14. Limitation of liability
We cannot guarantee that our service will be error-free or uninterrupted, that every broken form will be detected, or that every alert will reach you in time to prevent lost leads. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or our services is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We bear no liability for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost leads, or lost savings, even where such damages were foreseeable.
If any provision of this agreement is deemed unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision is severable and does not affect the remaining provisions.
15. Governing law
This is a legal document under United States jurisdiction. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Maine, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
16. Authority and acceptance
You confirm you have the authority to enter into this agreement on behalf of yourself or the business you represent. You agree to these terms by any of the following:
- Using this website, including the free audit.
- Enrolling a URL in the free 30-day trial.
- Completing a Stripe checkout to start, change, or renew a subscription.
- Continuing to receive services from us after these terms are updated, as described in section 17.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available at this page, with the "Last updated" date above showing when material changes were last made. For material changes, we will notify active subscribers by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree, you may cancel before the effective date and the prior terms will apply through the end of your current billing cycle.
